Hell's Kitchen (not to be confused with the Gordon Ramsey show) is a "devilish" restaurant that comes highly recommended from Megan Link. Megan enjoyed her Ham & Pear Crisp Sandwich that was featured as one of the "50 Best Sandwiches in America" Catie Kruger (SVEA) also tried Hell's Kitchen and enjoyed the "Juicy Lucifer." For those who have dietary restrictions, like gluten free, this restaurant has gluten free buns! They also have infused tequila, vodka, and whiskey...Catie recommends the Pineapple/Vanilla Tequila.
Kitty Reip, from Fairfax, suggests eating at Cafe Zupas, which is a 7 minute drive from our hotel. If you are looking for healthy food, Cafe Zupas offers made to order salads and sandwiches and has 12 kinds of soup! Kitty also says they have some luscious desserts.
Want to enjoy some tasty craft beer and delicious food? First time delegate, Alexa Severo, suggests heading to Fulton Brewing Company. Her fave beer was Lonely Blonde Beer and she enjoyed (along with fellow delegates) their pretzel, nachos, poutine and Walleye Roll.
Beer!!! Head to Lakes & Legends Brewing Co. a brewery with a wonderful atmosphere, suggests Alexa Severo. They serve very good beer & flavored, hard pretzels. It’s a short walk from the convention center!
Samuel Eure (York) suggests you try Hazelwood, which is near our hotel. Sam enjoyed his Jambalaya and he encourages you to get the chocolate cake which comes with ice cream!
Steven Lavery suggests that if you are looking for an excellent dining atmosphere, head to Stella’s —you must experience the roof-top. Just know that Steven also warns you that the food at this seafood restaurant is good, but overpriced.
Octavia Harris (Arlington) suggests trying Andale Taqueria. She says it is yummy! Octavia also recommends Busters on 28th which serves American Food. She says the atmosphere is calm and open to all ages. She enjoyed her burger and beef brisket and natural cut fries.
Kitty Reip (Fairfax) loved Everest on Grand, which serves authentic Nepalese and Northern Indian Food. She said the appetizer was large enough to be its own meal and was awesome. The staff are friendly and the food was great!
Myra, Sonia,
and Leslie HIGHLY recommend Cedar + Stone at the Mall of America (first floor
just inside the main entrance to the left, restaurant with patio firepit) and
especially if you can get Travis as your server---you will never have better
service and the food is wonderful too! We enjoyed the mac and cheese, buffalo
wings, kale salad, and the pan roasted chicken—all great dishes! The drink of
the evening was the Punch of the Week and gelato and Bundt cake were hits for
dessert. Travis pays close attention to detail and was engaged and very
knowledgeable about the whole menu; his suggestions were hits. He exemplifies
#MinnesotaNice and offered very personal, non-rushed but well-paced service.
Well done!
Carol Bauer and Sam Eure loved The Bachelor Farm. Sam said, "The trip here was not only worth it, it was exceptional." Carol said she had a wonderful meal and experience. 5 STARS! Carol also mentioned that NEA Legal Counsel Alice O'Brien was two booths over while they were eating. Oh and President Barack Obama dined there at some point. :)
